Thailand operates a variety of mobile telephone systems here and has contract and ‘pay-as-you-go’ systems. The contract phones can be enacted for data use and also global roaming. This will entitle you to control the usage for your calls as you will buy the cards and refill the telephone. The calls normally cost more per minute than the contract phones and do not have data and overseas capability.
