I would like to take this opportunity to thank Gareth Twist and his team at Yacht Solutions for their assistance during our stay in Thailand.
I was the Captain of 'Lady K' a privately owned world cruising yacht that my wife and I joined in Phuket, Thailand in January 2004. Because of our tight cruising schedule and the language and cultural barriers, we secured the services of Yacht Solutions, based in Phuket.
We were extremely happy with the services provided by Gareth and his team. They helped us with procuring parts and publications, provisioning and organized various professional tradesmen for work on the boat.
They arranged visas to the Andaman Islands as well as valuable advice concerning cruising in that area.
They also helped immensely with the clearing in and out process, and the associated bureaucracy.
One of the most helpful services we found was that when my wife and I wanted to leave Thailand for a weekend in Malaysia we found that this was a whole lot harder than just booking a plane ticket. Yacht Solutions put up the enormous bond required and dealt with all the paperwork associated with leaving the boat, even for a few days.
We found Gareth and his team extremely professional, friendly and organized. No request was too big or too small. We would highly recommend Yacht Solutions and would not hesitate to use their services again.
